If you want to develop your leadership skills, exercise your creativity, and work with young people in a meaningful summer program around social justice, this opportunity is for you!
Interns will have the opportunity to learn the process of content development and online engagement, from writing stories and developing materials for the learning platform at https://edgeofyesterday.com/. The capstone project will be the production of an original play, about the Tulsa Massacre, in commemoration of its 100th anniversary.
Those interns who are with us in the summer will also gain leadership and mentoring opportunities in working in our summer program for underserved high school students from DC Public Schools and around the nation.

SciLine is a free service connecting journalists to knowledgeable, articulate scientific experts and providing a number of other resources to help journalists include more research-backed evidence in their stories. One set of responsibilities will center around an educational and entertaining weekly website feature that introduces reporters to little-known areas of research under study by scientists. This intern will explore a wide array of research disciplines-including some obscure, amusing, or both-while also getting the opportunity to hone their writing skills. Other duties will include website updates and using digital tools to track journalists' use of SciLine resources.
